Tooth Whitening

Because a Bright Smile Is Always in Style

Over time, our teeth naturally lose their brightness due to everyday habits. Tea, coffee, red wine and tobacco can all contribute to staining and discolouration. If your smile has become dull or marked by surface stains, professional tooth whitening could help you regain a brilliant, confident look. At Jersey Orthodontic Centre, we offer a safe and effective at-home whitening treatment for our orthodontic patients who have completed treatment, are over 18 and who don’t have a regular dentist. This is done using custom-made trays and a clinically proven whitening gel.

What Causes Tooth Discolouration?

There are many factors that can affect the colour of your teeth:

  • Daily consumption of tea, coffee or red wine.
  • Smoking or tobacco use.
  • Staining from certain foods or spices.
  • Natural ageing and thinning of the enamel.

Tooth whitening works by gently breaking down stains and lifting discolouration from the enamel surface, restoring a brighter, fresher appearance.

Our Whitening System

We use a custom tray whitening system that allows you to brighten your smile from the comfort of home. Your removable orthodontic retainers can also be used. This method is more effective and longer-lasting than shop-bought kits, and it’s safe for your enamel when used as directed.

How It Works

  1. We create a set of custom whitening trays designed to fit your teeth perfectly. Or you can use your existing removable retainers
  2. You apply the whitening gel into the trays and wear them overnight or as advised.
  3. Treatment continues over several weeks until the desired shade is achieved.
  4. Top up for a few nights where required

Why Choose Our At-Home Whitening?

  • Longer-lasting results compared to in-chair systems.
  • Reusable trays for future top-ups.
  • Gentle on enamel with minimal sensitivity.
  • Clinically approved and safe for long-term use.
  • Fully supervised by a dental professional.

Please note: tooth whitening only affects natural teeth and does not change the colour of crowns, veneers or fillings.
